Breakfast with Santa. is how the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival gives back to the children of the community. Breakfast with Santa is now in its fourth year.
Excitement always fills the air during the holiday season. All children are anticipating a visit from Santa. Breakfast with Santa provides a great place to come and meet the jolly man.
Did you all know that Santa, best known for getting around in a sleigh pulled by reindeer, is actually a car guy? He is a big fan of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival. His elves not only make toys, they are quite the car restoration experts as well. Because of Santa’s love of Auburn and its car history, he graciously makes a stop to visit with the children of Auburn. He even brings a couple of his reindeer, Candy Cane and Jingle Belle, along with him. These reindeer are young and not strong enough to pull the sleigh on Christmas Eve. But they are big enough to visit and pose with children for photos. This event warms the hearts of everyone attending.
Auburn Home Furnishings plays a very big part in assisting with this event. Their sponsorship is appreciated! A great breakfast is provided by Costa’s Catering. Activities also included story time with Terra Firma and plenty of “make and take” crafts with the assistance of the Leo Lions Club. A special thanks to the Kruse Foundation for providing us with the facility for the past few years.
This year Breakfast with Santa will be held in new location-JR Watson Elementary School in Auburn, Indiana. The event will be December 15, 2007. Contact the Festival to add a name to the mailing list. Contact the office at 260-925-3600 or email your USPS mailing information to acdfestival@sbcglobal.net. There will be plenty of time to speak with Santa and if necessary, clear up that entry on the naughty list. Festival Board members hope to see you there; the Festival will provide the cheer.
