Auburn Festival Antiques Show

Willowrush Promotions, Inc. announces the second edition of the Auburn Festival Antiques Show to be presented Labor Day weekend at the CCC. The show will be open to the public on Saturday, August 30th from 10 to 6 and then again on Sunday, August 31st from 10 to 5.

Again located at the excellent facilities of the recently renovated CCC (Classic City Center), the show promises an exceptional display of antiques. 50 dealers will be in attendance with plans to erect a festive outdoor tent to accommodate additional dealers on the grounds. The air-conditioned CCC is located on CR 427 across from DeKalb Middle School and the facility provides adequate free parking for all patrons. In addition to the free parking the CCC is one of the official Festival locations for free shuttle service to other Festival events.

The emphasis of this particular show will be its outstanding caliber of dealers from 10 neighboring states. Many of these dealers have been traveling to Auburn over the past two decades presenting their merchandise during the Labor Day weekend. These dealers are recognized as being among the finest in the nation with a reputation for providing their customers with investment quality merchandise.

This show affords antique enthusiasts a great opportunity to expand their collections. Don Orwig and Gerry Nagel, promoters, organize the show under the corporate name of Willowrush Promotions, Inc. to benefit Boy Scout Troop #169 and the special events of the CCC. “This show is certain to impress!” according to Gerry Nagel, Auburn resident and former promoter of the Tri Kappa show.

“This is the show everyone has come to expect…providing customers with high-quality dealers, easy access and a reasonable admission price.” many of the excellent dealers of past years will return for this year’s edition of the show, including Paul Fischer Antiques from Indianapolis, In., Whimsy Antiques from Fenelton, Pa., Frank LoPiccolo from Chicago, IL., Susan’s from New Cumberland, W. Va., and Antiques on Broadway from Louisville, Ky. These and other fine dealers will present significant displays of outstanding merchandise for the advanced collectors. All patrons will be impressed by the knowledge of the vendors and the vast array of antiques for sale at this show. Nearly every period in American history will be represented, including pieces from the Colonial period to the Art Deco period.

Fine china, porcelain, art glass, paintings, prints, toys, dolls, primitives, textiles, vintage clothing and jewelry make-up a large portion of the show.

Admission to the Auburn Festival Antiques Show is $6 and will be good for both days. Youth are admitted free of charge. A portion of the gate receipts will support the activities of local Boy Scout Troop #169 and the Classic City Center (CCC). More information about this show can be viewed at www.willowrush.com
