Auburn Historic Tour

Saturday Time: Tours begin at 9AM; 10AM; 3PM and 4 PM (approximately 45 minute tour)
SundayTime: Tours begin at 10AM; 11AM; 12PM; 1PM and 2PM (approximately 45 minute tour)
Location: Leave from the DeKalb County Fairgrounds parking lot
Cost: $5 per person
Take a trip back in time as you travel the tree-lined streets of Auburn in a comfortable 15 passenger air-conditioned bus (thanks to Lakewood Park Christian School!). Learn the history associated with Auburn’s manufacturing boom in the early 1900s. Find out how the Eckhart Carriage Company evolved from carriage and buggy making into the Auburn Automobile Company, manufacturing what have now become the classic Auburns. See the legacy Charles Eckhart left to the city of Auburn in the form of two beautiful historic buildings – the Eckhart Public Library and YMCA. Tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. Saturday tours start at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and Sunday tours start at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
